Costs of processing escrow transactions are higher than our other payment options; therefore they are shared 50/50 between the Embassy Emeralds and the customer unless other terms are agreed upon prior to the transaction. Please note that escrow.com only accepts payments for gemstone and jewelry sales via check, money order, or wire transfer. Further, there is a transaction limit of $2000 that applies to transactions conducted via check or money order. Larger orders will require a wire transfer.

Just as we offer multiple payment options for your convenience, we also offer two ways to receive your purchase. You may choose to ship using USPS Priority Mail or UPS Second Day Air. All packages will be tracked and with delivery confirmation. If for some reason, tracking is not available for delivery via USPS deliveries to your destination, UPS shipping will be used. If delivery times for UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Ground shipment do not differ, Ground service will be used. Otherwise, we will always use the faster of these UPS delivery methods.
All shipments will be insured based on the purchase price and will have Trident Enterprises or Embassy as the sender. We avoid using the word ‘Emerald’ on the exterior of the package to help keep the contents safe from pilfering. If customs documents are required for your shipment, we will list the contents as jewelry, as the mineralogical term ‘Green Beryl’, or using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule Code that applies to emeralds.
VERY IMPORTANT! All international orders must select the UPS shipping option! Failure to do so may limit our ability to track packages and can lead to costly and time consuming customs difficulties. We will not be responsible for lost packages or customs brokerage fees if other shipping options are used.
When your order is placed, you will receive an email with your order receipt. You will later receive a second email with your tracking information attached once your order is shipped. Please note that the UPS shipping option is not available for customers with an APO/FPO Military shipping address. Also, be aware that the US Postal Service does not offer tracking services for Priority Mail shipments to those addresses.
Returns & Refunds
To ensure delivery of your order, we have chosen two reputable carriers for all of our orders. All shipments are sent with delivery confirmation from either the US Postal Service or UPS. Embassy Emeralds cannot be responsible for merchandise damaged after acceptance and delivery has been confirmed by UPS or the US Postal Service. All mail or parcels lost after delivery will be the sole responsibility of the costumer and all claims for packages lost after delivery will have to be filed directly with the carrier. In the unlikely event that the carrier loses a package, proper claim procedures must be followed to completion before refunds can be executed. We will gladly email scanned photocopies of any shipping and insurance receipts in these instances to assist with any claims.
If you are not satisfied with a product you purchased, you may return it for a full refund of the purchase price*. However, we must receive your RMA request, in the manner explained below, within 10 calendar days of the original outgoing order being sent from Embassy Emeralds. Once an RMA has been issued we require that the item be postmarked and en route back to us within one calendar week of receiving the RMA. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the shipping and insurance related charges on returns unless we erred in shipping you the wrong item. In that case, you may return the product at our expense for a full refund of the purchase price and shipping charges. To return products, you must first request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number using this form or contact us in writing at: firstname.lastname@example.org prior to shipping your return. RMA numbers will be provided to the customer via email. The time you wait for an RMA number to be sent will not count towards the 10 day product review time.
*Returns of special orders and merchandise shipped from Colombia may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%.
All items returned must be fully insured and trackable, in the same condition as originally sent, properly packaged with contact information, RMA Number, and include your instructions for return, exchange, or refund. International returns should check with us for the best carriers and practices to use to ensure smooth returns. Embassy Emeralds will not be responsible for additional fees incurred during return shipping. Furthermore Embassy Emeralds will not be responsible for stones that are lost, scratched, cracked, destroyed, improperly cleaned or cared for, or otherwise damaged after delivery. Please see the care instructions for emeralds found here on this website. If damage occurs to a stone or jewelry piece during shipping, a claims are to be filed with the carrier. We'll gladly provide shipping receipts and insurance numbers to assist you with your claim.
